This is the item that Haley decided to buy with all her Christmas money.  She sits in it and reads all the time with her stuffies watching over her.  Who knew a GIANT BOOT CHAIR could be so much fun?!?!

It's finally warming up a bit so the girls could go out to play today.  This is the view from my back window.  They play so great together... we are so lucky!

Day 25

Went to visit my Grandpa in hospital tonight.  The girls were very excited to see him and Haley wanted to take a photo for her own Project 365.  (I took the photo for her and stole it from her ipod so the quality isn't great.)

Went skiing with the kids from work today and this is how we needed to dress.

My amaryllis is finally blooming!  8 flowers in total and they are beautiful!  I couldn't decide which photo to post so you are getting a few today.  :)

Temperatures dipped to -28C today with the windchill.  I would say we are finally having our winter!

Day 20

It was a exciting afternoon around here.  Paige finally lost her front tooth!  Normally that would be something to be happy about but today it wasn't.  

While rinsing out her mouth at the kitchen sink she fainted!  Yes... you read it right.  My 6 year old passed out!  Luckily I was right beside her and got her to the floor safely!  She came around and became nauseous and threw up.  Once recovered from that, she fainted AGAIN!  This time in my arms.  She came around again and spent the next 20 mins laying on our kitchen floor.  Her afternoon was spent on the couch resting.

After her recovery she was back to her normal self and excited about the loss of her tooth.  She spent the evening getting used to eating and talking with a missing tooth!  LOL

As a side note, I had my first experience with fainting at age 6 as well.  Nothing has ever came of my fainting spells and it's just something I have learned to live with.  It makes me a bit less worried in this case but of course there will be a call to our doctor tomorrow.  ;)

The girls had a friends here for a sleepover.  You would think with all these shoes that I have the neighbourhood  here!

Despite the age of technology creeping up on us, our bookshelf is still overflowing.  Nothing like a good book to make you forget about your daily problems.

This little guy watched us watching Breaking Bad last night.  He generated quite a discussion between us...

     - His outfit is very warm for the amount he is wearing!

     - Who is he?

     - What's in his satchel?

     - What does he say?

     - Boy those pants look like they are made for him!

My Monday night girls night sadly came to an end before Christmas when the Dexter season ended.  :(   However, we started a new season tonight to continue our get together.  Not sure what I would do without my Monday night M&M's!  ;)

Sunday homework.  Sure isn't like I remember it as a kid.  Some days it amazes me how much technology they know!

It was unusually warm today and rained most of the day.  A lot of our snow has melted and we have been left with a slushy mess.  These warm temps created a thick fog this evening as well.  Here is my day at a glance.

Found this written in Haley's "Silly Diary" today.  Each day she comes up with a silly twist to a day.  It's more like a piece of writing then her own diary.  With this creativity I have no doubt that she will be a published writer someday!  LOL

Day 8

Here is my Amaryllis plant so far.  I got it from my mom for Christmas.  It has become a tradition that all the females in the family receive one each year and each year I look forward to mine.  I will make sure to post more pictures as it grows!

Day 7

Back to school and work today after our 2 week Christmas break.  I am determined to get our family organized this year.  I was tired of coming home to a dining room table full of papers from the kids and notes written on envelopes on the counter.  I saw this idea on Pinterest and decided to recreate it in our own kitchen.

After doing some shopping I used brown craft paper to plan out where everything was going to go.  (This photo was actually taken a couple days ago)

And here it is all up (except for my calendar of my own photos that I have ordered.  I have left the craft paper up for it)  It should be here in about a week.

And here is a closeup of the notes I left the girls today on their own photo frame 'white boards'.  They LOVE them!

Day 6

Today is the last day before the girls go back to school.  It turned out to be a lazy day.  I woke to this fort built in my dining room where they played all morning!  An afternoon play in the snow was enough to tire them out for a good nights sleep.  

I have to say, I'm kind of looking forward to some normalcy back into our lives after the crazy Christmas break!

Day 5

Two photos today since there was absolutely no way that I could tie them together!  LOL

And then this evening's activities.  An Ugly Sweater party with my crazy Worsfold cousins to celebrate Christmas.  It was a fabulous evening with great people!  Lots of laughs and stories is good for your health right?  Now... this sweater may be another story.

My gift from Mike and the girls came in today!  It was on order and I had to wait for it.  I know my new 50mm 1.4 USM lens will be totally worth the wait!  This photo was taken by a different lens (ironically it's a 50mm 1.8) but I'm sure tomorrow's pic will be my taken by this one!

I have the best friends!

Gift from an old friend during a nice coffee visit today... I would say she knows me well! LOL

And a celebration this evening which included games (Draw Something board game and Friends trivia), drinks and CAKE!

Happy Birthday to me!  This is a summary of my day...

Breakfast in bed by my girls... all on their own! (excuse the quality as this was taken by my iPhone minutes after I awoke!  LOL)

Afternoon out with my girls to Build-a-Bear to spend some Christmas money. (They are such a happy couple!)

And the very best birthday sundae anyone could ask for! (again, an iPhone pic)  Thanks Mike!

I really am the luckiest person around to have such a great family to make my day so special!

Day 1

After many unsuccessful attempts at completing a Project 365 I have decided to try it again.  I have made a few necessary changes this time around though.  I have a handy dandy app that will help me when I'm on the go as well as reminding me every day to take my picture.  I have a husband AND a daughter that are both trying it out with me.  And I have a whole new determination!  2013 will be the year I finally complete it and I'm so glad you are here to experience it with me!
