I suppose I'll have to put this little guy away before I know it.  Going to miss his little smiling face. 

Day 54

Spent a lot of time today listening to my book on my iPod (A Breath of Snow and Ashes by Diana Gabaldon).  Couldn't help but post a pic of the coaster that sits beside my chair.  "The Big CD thing" as my kids call it.  LOL

Day 53

Today was World Thinking Day for the Girl Guides.  It's the birthday of Scouting and Guiding founder Robert Baden-Powell and of Olave Baden-Powell, his wife and World Chief Guide.  It's also a time to think about all the other children in the world, the meaning of Guiding, and it's global impact.

Haley and her Grandma have been working hard to finish Haley's Journey Girl Brownie outfit so that she could bring it to school with her when she wore her own uniform.  It think it turned out amazing!  Haley can't wait to take it to Brownies with her next week!

This evening we went to the Western Fairgrounds to watch the live horse races with Mike's family.  We had a lot of fun, even though we didn't win much.

Finally... somewhere to put all our hats.  Now if only I could get the girls to hang them theirselves!

Kind of an odd pic today.  It's the corner of one of our door frames.  I love the detail on them and it reminds me of the house I grew up in as well.  I don't think I could ever live in a house that isn't at least 80 years old!

Day 49

Today is Family Day here.  We decided to spend the day at home.  We mostly played games as a family but took some time to do some baking.  Paige wanted to make the cake using the kit she got for her birthday.  I think it turned out GREAT and they sure had fun in the process!

Day 48

I technically took this one last night... but it was after midnight so I think it counts. ;)

This is Mike's new drinking glass he picked up today.  I am seeing a theme in our household.  Maybe I should go buy myself a new pair of boots?!?!

Day 47

Took the girls to see Escape from Planet Earth in 3D today with some friends.  They got these cups.  We actually never got to see this movie in theatres, but it is on our list for our Friday night home movie!

This was an experiment Haley did at camp last weekend.  I think it is finally done crystalizing. :)

Day 45

Well... Today is Velentine's Day.  We don't usually do much to celebrate it as we both think we should show we love each other EVERY day.  However... a hand decorated box of chocolates sat on the counter when I got up today.  It meant so much to me.

(for those who are wondering what the meaning behind the words are... my kids took and ate all my Christmas chocolate this year and I was not too happy about it to say the least!  LOL  He was hoping this may keep them out of it. HAHA)

Great night tubing for the first time with work friends!  Some days I LOVE my job!

It's the 100th Day of school!

Picked Haley up from camp today.  She had a BLAST!  (pun INTENDED!)

A nice surprise from one of the families I took photos of awhile back.  Had a great visit from Maggie and the kids too!

Haley was at Brownie camp today so Paige and I started to make the Valentines for her class.  Just need to finish up the tags.  (not the best pics of them... it was dark out when I took these)

SNOW DAY!  Schools all closed so the girls took the opportunity to play outside!

Got the opportunity to go to the London Knights Hockey Game with my work tonight.  Can't believe this was my first ever hockey game!

Another post with lots of pictures.  (I just am so proud of Haley!!)  This is her pioneer model house project for school.  She did it all herself (with a little help from dad on the roof and hot glue)

 The roof comes off so you can see inside.  Here is the mom in the kitchen and the daughter setting the table. :)

Here is the brother guarding the gate so the animals don't get out.  The dad is in the animal yard too feeding the hay to the horse.  

Some of the animals she made out of plasticine.  (a cow, rooster?, and a pig)
